Book Review | The Power That Changes the World by Bill Johnson

Power that changes the worldThe Power That Changes the World by Bill Johnson is a reflection of his preaching and teaching style. This book is easy to read yet salted with powerful thoughts between the pages. Each chapter applies a concept of POWER with an application for your community and world. Learn how to influence and lead through Biblical methods. Learn how to identify problems and apply power resulting in change.

An important message in the book is how to be a light in a world of darkness. Another important message (and a favorite book quote of mine too!) is when Johnson says, “We are to reign with the heart of a servant, and serve with the heart of a king.”

I’m giving the book 4 of 5 stars because there is one chapter that I didn’t like and I almost stopped reading the book. To write a fair review I continued reading past the chapter and discovered content worthy of praise. If you stumble on this chapter …keep reading all the way to the back cover and be blessed. Another chapter elaborates on the blessings of God with the message “It is absolutely foolish and selfish not to pray for a life of blessing.” Johnson then explains why blessings magnify favor and this may open the “prosperity gospel” theology debate.
